Book Drive
For the next couple of weeks, a group of girls from the Jr. High Leadership class will be hosting a book drive to create a Leave a Book - Take a Book in Loami, IL. We will be accepting books to stock it.
Wednesday November 8 - Tuesday December 5
Accepting all age books
Boxes will be outside of the JH, HS, and Elementary offices
The Fannie May candy orders will be delivered on Thur, Nov 9th. If you have a large order, please make arrangements to get it home. It is important that students deliver the items they sold in a timely manner (less than one week). If you still owe money for your orders you must turn that in by that Wed, Nov 15th

Auburn Jr High Wrestling 2023-24
Open Mats - Open mats will start on October 24th, ending on November 21st from 4- 5:15. Wrestlers are not required to be there, however, this is an excellent time to put the extra work in! Students are expected to ride the shuttle bus from AJHS to AES.
There is no transportation provided during open mats for New Berlin students.
Practice – Official practice starts on November 27th at AES. Wrestlers from AMS will walk over while AJHS students take the shuttle bus. Practice will run from 4 - 5:45. In order to participate, there must be a current physical on file. New Berlin Wrestlers are provided a shuttle to and from practice as well!
Practice Schedule - We will practice Monday through Friday, (No Saturday practices). If you are going to miss practice let Coach Seitz know in advance through groupme/email.
What to bring to practice: Shorts, T-shirt or Sweats/Sweatshirt, Wrestling Shoes, Water Bottle, and a dry shirt to leave practice in. Shoes can be purchased online or any sporting goods store.
Signups: An official signup meeting will be held November 6th at 8:15am in the AJHS Library. If your wrestler missed the meeting the signup sheet will be posted in the office.
Signs ups for NB students will be held on zoom at 8:00am Monday, November 6th.
Parent Meeting: A parent meeting will be held at 6:00pm, November 29th in the AES cafeteria.

As the season moves along, wrestlers may wrestle in the Auburn Lil Trojans IKWF Club on Sundays. Questions on these go to Coach Grimm at mgrimm@auburn.k12.il.us

6th and 7th Grade Pretzel participated in their first Pretzels with a Professional. New Berlin hosted Sam Rohn from CCK Automations. Mr. Rohn gave an engaging presentation about the opportunities at his place of employment and how they use core academic subjects in their work.
Our Picture Retake day is November 3rd.
If you were absent, come down to the Dome when the office makes the announcement during the 1st hour. Or if you are unsatisfied with the picture package you bought (you will need to return your pictures).

October 31: Sixth and 7th grade Pretzels: Lets get excited! Your first Pretzels with a Professional guest will be here on Halloween! Pretzels with a Professional is an opportunity for you to get to know someone from the community that has an interesting career.
Sam Rohn from CCK Automations will be your guest. CCK Automations is located in Jacksonville, and manufactures high tech printed circuit boards and injection molded products. Mr. Rohn is responsible for the environmental health and safety at his manufacturing plant. With this career path he has worked throughout the United States and France. At one point, he even worked for Nike. Prepare your questions! He’s excited to share about his career!
